For me, it’s all about the story, and that happens through the actors’ performances. I love cutting montage sequences. I love building sound beds. I love finding the perfect piece of music to score underneath that emotional beat. But it’s the moments between the lines — what the characters are not saying — that truly engage an audience. Those are the moments I love to cut. My goal is to engage the audience into the experience YOU, the filmmaker, are setting out to create for them.

Current work in progress

Example of what I love cutting most — actors’ performances.

No color. No mix. Almost there!

I also love cutting and scoring montage sequences. They’re an efficient way to establish the tone and world of a story.

One of my favorite moments in the film.

COMPLETED WORKS

This is a proof-of-concept.

A good old sex-comedy.

This one’s close to my heart.

Manhattan Edit Workshop

A clip I cut while attending the Six-Week Manhattan Edit Workshop. Dylan Tichenor, our guest teacher, loved it. Wanted to see more. So did I.

After seeing a few stabs at this scene from other students, Dylan Tichenor viewed my version and said: “Now, I finally understand what the scene is about.”

I love cutting horror/thrillers. I wanted this one to feel like an old B-horror movie.
